Yolanda S.G. Tuckerman received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Sacramento, graduating Cum Laude in 1998. Ms. Tuckerman received her Juris Doctor degree from University of California, Davis King Hall School of Law in May 2002. Ms. Tuckerman is admitted to practice law in California and the Eastern District of the United States District Court.
During her final year of undergraduate study at CSU Sacramento and the year before beginning law school, Ms. Tuckerman worked as a legal secretary and office manager in a Sacramento law firm specializing in Social Security disability and personal injury litigation.
She began her employment at the Lenahan firm as a law clerk after her first year of law school, in May 2000. She also externed as a law clerk in the Family Law Court at Yolo County Superior Court in the Fall of 2000. Also during law school, Ms. Tuckerman served as president of King Hall’s chapter of the legal service organization, Phi Delta Phi, was a participant of the Irving L. Neumiller competition held annually during the UC Davis Picnic Day, served on the Moot Court Board as a Neumiller co-chair, participated on the National Team for appellate advocacy, and was appointed a member of the Order of the Barristers.
Upon passing the July 2002 California State Bar Examination, Ms. Tuckerman began practice with the firm as a Workers’ Compensation defense attorney. Throughout her years as an attorney for the firm, she has had the privilege of speaking at the firm’s annual Fall Legal Update on multiple occasions, in addition to giving a variety of smaller seminars, in an effort to keep clients updated on the ever-changing workers’ compensation law.
Ms. Tuckerman was born and raised in California, just 2 hours north of Sacramento. When not working as an attorney, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, gourmet cooking, and participating in a variety of outdoor activities.
