William R. Majernik, Jr. is a partner in the Sacramento office of Lenahan, Lee, Slater & Pearse, LLP. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Criminology in 1981. He then worked for the California Department of Corrections as a member of their S.W.A.T. team, holding positions of sniper, range master and advanced firearms instructor. He then attended McGeorge School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor Degree in 1990.
Mr. Majernik began his legal career in Los Angeles specializing in the defense of tort liability. He then returned to Sacramento where he continued specializing in the defense of tort liability and also began defending workers' compensation claims before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and appearing in Superior Court, pursuing carrier's subrogation recovery against negligent third parties.
Mr. Majernik is an experienced lecturer in the area of workers' compensation defense and subrogation. He also acts as a consultant to the California Continuing Education of the Bar, on the CEB publication California Workers' Damages Practice.
