Moses M. Mendoza joined the firm as its 25th attorney in December of 1993, and became partner in 1999. Mr. Mendoza specializes in the defense of workers' compensation cases. He also specializes in representing employers against claims of serious and willful misconduct and discrimination claims filed pursuant to Labor Code section 132a.

He was born in Santa Monica, California, and grew up in the neighboring town of Venice. Moses graduated from Bethany College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology in 1987. After two years of surfing and free diving in the Santa Cruz area, he attended San Joaquin College of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 1993. He joined the law firm on April 1, 1991 as a law clerk with the Fresno office. Seven years later, Mr. Mendoza, then a senior associate, moved his practice to the firm's Sacramento office.

Mr. Mendoza has lectured for various organizations since the age of 18 on a wide variety of subjects. As an attorney, Mr. Mendoza has lectured on topics involving workers' compensation defense for various groups and organizations, including the firm's MCLE approved annual fall legal update.

When Mr. Mendoza is not lawyering, he spends his time with his family, coaching basketball, hiking, skiing, and for years he has worked diligently at lowering his golf handicap without success.
